Like a new sunset every evening, each batch of Solis (sunset/west coast) is unique—a new and interesting combination of malt and hops. This bone-dry, hop-forward, dynamic San Diego–style IPA allows us to keep our creative juices flowing and your mouth watering. Make sure you ask your server which batch they are serving and try them all! Can drinkers—look on the bottom of your can for a package date and batch number.
Batch 69 (Coming Soon) Logistically speaking, this beer is our 2nd in a row featuring some new hops—new to MHB anyway, with Citra, Mosaic and Comet in the finish. The grist is a simple 2-row and Carafoam combo. Look for this beer around the 8th of April or so.
Batch 68 Pkg 3/22/17 Some new hops grace this Solis batch as we introduce fans to our version of Lemondrop, paired up with a complementary hop, Cascade. Bittered with Eureka and Nugget, this beer is a sterling example of San Diego style. Aromatic, dry and lovely.
Batch 67 Pkg 2/25/17 A collaboration brew with our Bay Area distributor, Delta, we hopped this beer with (you guessed it) Delta hops! In the finish, we also brought on its cousin, Mt Hood for a lovely, aromatic IPA.
Batch 66 Pkg on 2/7/17 A straight-forward San Diego-style IPA with late additions of Chinook, Cascade and Citra hops, all on a simple 2-row and CaraFoam malt base.
Batch 65 Bittered with Nugget, 65 is flavored late in the kettle with one of our favorite hop combos, Simcoe and Amarillo. At dry hopping, we toss in some Cascade for a great trifecta. For malts, we added a few bags of Pils malt to complement the 2 Row.
Batch 64 Nugget and Meridian hops make this Solis recipe pleasantly herbal and bitter. Batch 64 is available exclusively in our OpenMike Cans which you can  find in our tasting rooms and select retailers.
Batch 63 Piney and resinous, Solis 63 is heavily dry-hopped on the back end with Cascade, Centennial and Crystal.
Batch 62 This time around Solis is generously hoped with Centennial. Columbus, Cascade and Crystal also play a role in this hop bombs tasty flavor profile.
Batch 61 Chinook and Simcoe hops lend to standout citrus notes and a piney dry finish for this round of Solis. White Wheat malt lends to a fuller body. A favorite batch among many of our beer tenders, be sure to try this one!
Batch 60, the spawn of our Tasting Room Lord Eric, has a seriously strong citrusy floral aroma from the Ultra and Amarillo hops. It's juicy and refreshing and unlike the more common earthy IPAs. Nugget hops are included in the boil as well.
Batch 59 has a slightly malty base from the Simpsons Golden Promise Malt that fuses nicely with the big Columbus and Chinook hop hits. Citra and Amarillo additions later on make for a pleasant potpourie nose.
Batch 58 kettle hops include Nugget, Crystal in the whirlpool and Centennial and Meridian for aroma. This is the crisp summer time IPA you need for a hot day.
Batch 57 is carefully crafted with 2 Row Pale, Munich and rolled oats in the grist for a smooth mouth-feel and added body. High Alpha Columbus hops make for a big bitter beer complimented by the Cascade added in the hop back and the Simcoe dry hopping.
Batch 56 a tasteful malt backbone of 2 Row Pale, Carafoam and White Wheat plays well with the CTZ for bittering, and the Meridian and Centennial kettle and dry hops. Piney, zesty and resinous.
Batch 55 brewed in collaboration with Plan 9 Alehouse, this recipe combines Citra and Cascade hops for an aromatic explosion plus Centennial and Simcoe hops for an earthy pine packed taste on the back end. We then dry-hopped it with Cascade, Amarillo and Simcoe.
Batch 54 utilizes Victory Malt for a very slight biscuit backbone unique for a traditional west coast IPA. The Columbus, Cascade and Amarillo kettle hops pack a hoppy punch in each pint. The Centennial hop back addition makes for a beautiful floral citrus aroma.
Batch 53 is our collaboration brew with Iron Pig featuring Columbus, Meridian and Cascade hops in the boil.
